DJ Assault has had a large hand in bringing ghetto-tech, aka dough music, from the urban streets of Detroit to the suburban club lap. The incorporation of electro beats with hardcore, sometimes pornographic lyrics, is what makes ghetto-tech highly distinguishable from its other techno cousins. (Though DJ Assault actually formed as a duet -- with Craig Adams and Ade' Mainor, aka Mr. De -- the latter left over in 2000.) Two self-run record labels, Assault Rifle and Electrofunk, make released Assault's signature tracks, "Crank This Mutha," "Sexual urge on the Beach," and "Ass and Titties."

At the cranky Craig Adams began his DJ vocation spinning at local parties and events in his hometown of Detroit. He took a three-year hiatus to study at the Univerity of Atlanta, merely shortly touched Michigan to start producing music in his possess studio. Adams finished his studio by adding a local producer, Mr. De. After ill dealings with a prior label, the deuce formed Electrofunk in 1996. Shortly thereafter, they released their first EP, Terrortech EP, with the singles "Crank This Mutha" and "Technofreak." The album was a good innovation of the new sword of techno that incorporated sound bass beat generation, techno samples, and dewy-eyed, catchy vocal maulers. During the summer of 1996, Assault released the first base Straight Up Detroit Sh*t (Suds) desegregate CD. Due to the first base CD's popularity, Assault released the bit bulk that September. More popularity would follow the production team with the ghetto-tech anthems "Fuck and Titties" and "Sex on the Beach." After only a year of organism in business sector, Adams and De were able to say that they had sold more records than any other techno artist in the region at that time.

In 1997, due to the amount of production and popularity, Electrofunk tear in two -- Assault Rifle Records and Electrofunk Records Distribution. This allowed the deuce to produce and stagger their have substantial. In April of 1997, SUDS, Vol. 3 was released along with Belle Isle Tech. The latter contained deuce CDs, one completely rap and the other a compilation of Assault Rifle and Electrofunk releases. The CD offered both sounds of the urban streets to suburban and urban fans. At the goal of 1997, DJ Assault released SUDS, Vol. 4, which featured 99 tracks and served as an example of the fast flair of DJing that developed around ghetto-tech. Unfortunately, Adams and Mainor dissolved their partnership in mid-2000, due to private reasons, and went their separate shipway. Adams directly started his own label, Jefferson Ave., named for a major street in Detroit that runs from the east to the west side. Adams released an album of the same appoint in 2001 with local label Intuit-Solar. The album introduced Assault as a solo creative person along with his rapping alter ego, Craig Diamonds, the Street Narrator.

Matthew Mcconaughey - Mcconaughey Gone Wild In Nicaragua

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY's wild ways got out of hand during a surfing trip to Nicaragua last week (06-07Jun08) when the movie star had to be carried out of a bar after drunkenly hitting on every woman in sight.

The Sahara star, who is expecting his first child with Brazilian model girlfriend Camila Alves later this summer (08), stunned locals at The Iguana bar in San Juan Del Sur with his behaviour.

And, after chatting up beautiful women during a drunken spree on Friday night (06Jun08), the actor returned on Saturday (07Jun08) for another hellraising night.

One local who snapped photos of wild MCConaughey in action says, "He was so drunk he did stuff only a drunk guy would do. He was acting like an 18 year old."

After reportedly passing out in a ditch on Friday, MCConaughey went one better the following night, according to fellow revellers, and had to be carried out of the bar.

One local, called Amber, claims MCConaughey drunkenly chatted her and a roommate up, but lost his cool when he misplaced his flip-flops.

She tells WENN, "He stood on a table, screaming in drunk, broken Spanish, 'I've lost my flip-flops.'"

Then, when he realised his antics were being filmed, he ripped the camera out of one girl's hands and attempted to break it.

When he failed, he reportedly grabbed the girl taking the pictures and started dancing with her.

She says, "He was dancing with a ton of women but he was too drunk to go home with any of them."

MCConaughey told locals he was in Nicaragua alone after cutting short a trip to Costa Rica.

One local explains, "He was on his own, which impressed everyone at first, but the guy drank everything and by the time he was carried out on Saturday night, everyone had lost respect for him."

A rootsy singer/songwriter with ties to jazz and soul as well, Edwin McCain hails from Charleston, SC, and it was with the support of native sons Hootie & the Blowfish that McCain signed with Atlantic Records. Let it not be aforementioned that McCain never earned his contract: his touring schedule is among the most rigorous in music -- 300-plus nights per year -- and his dynamic stria (guitarist Larry Chaney, bassist Scott Bannevich, drummer Dave Harrison, and sax player Craig Shields) gained deference and accompaniment slots for similarly minded artists like Hootie, Jewel, and even the Allman Brothers. Signed to Atlantic's Lava subsidiary company in 1995, the group debuted with Honour Among Thieves. The unmarried "Solitude" gained support at VH1, prompt the acquittance of 1997's Ill-conceived Roses, which scored a mainstream strike in the song "I'll Be." Messenger followed in 1999 with another love-themed success, "I Could Not Ask for More," and Far from Over appeared deuce age after. McCain was dropped from Atlantic after the acquittance of Far from Over, merely he actually quickened his recording pace, cathartic The Austin Sessions in 2003 and Scream & Whisper in 2004. Keeping up with his unappeasable tour agenda through the years, the live DVD Tinsel and Tap Shoes: Live at the House of Blues appeared in late 2004. McCain's succeeding studio apartment feat, Helpless in America, was issued in April 2006 on Vanguard. Nationwide tour dates continued through leap and summer.

Kid Rock - Kid Rock Just Having Fun With Steal Everything Comments

LATEST: KID ROCK has backtracked over his recent controversial comments encouraging people to "steal" his music, insisting he was only joking.

The star - real name Robert Ritchie - posted a bizarre rant on video sharing website YouTube.com last week (ends20Jun08) after announcing he is boycotting paid download website iTunes until they give him more money to sell his music.

In the video footage, Kid Rock claims he is happy to let fans download tracks for free because he's "rich". He then urges kids to steal laptops, MP3 players, cars and gas from retailers - because big businesses can afford the loss.

He said: "The whole debate on downloading music has gone too far. There are record companies suing kids. You can illegally download my music, steal it if you will. Because I'm f**king rich...

"What I would encourage you to do? Let's level the playing field. Steal everything. If you want a new MP3 player or a computer... Do you know how much money Apple and Microsoft have? Go in there, get a new laptop and run. You need a new car? Go steal a Toyota."

But the 37-year-old is adamant his rant was meant in jest.

He says, "I was just trying to have some fun with it."

Report: Amy Winehouse has emphysema

Aniston Brings Chaos To London

Jennifer Aniston has turned a whirlwind 24 hour visit to London into an armed police and paparazzi frenzy. The former Friends star arrived at the capital's Heathrow Airport on Sunday to visit boyfriend John Mayer, who is touring the UK. Photographers waiting to greet the star at the new Terminal 5 building were left stunned when she was whisked past them by a huge security entourage comprising eight airport security guards, four policemen and two armed anti-terror officers. Aniston checked into London's swanky Dorchester Hotel, where former South African president Nelson Mandela is also currently a guest, but had had enough of Britain by Monday and jetted out of Stansted airport on a private jet at 3.30pm - less than 24 hours after she arrived. The actress was followed to the airport by the paparazzi, where one was cautioned by police for attempting to follow her into the terminal building. Since hooking up Mayer and Aniston have become the top targets fo photographers, prompting Mayer to recently remark, "These moments (of being chased by photographers) that are not at all rosy, are seemingly earthquakes of frustration and anxiety."

"Frownland": A human train wreck waiting to happen

"Frownland" could easily be mistaken as a minor classic from the hazy, meandering aesthetic of the independent film movement in the 1960s and early '70s. It's impossible to watch this grotty, sometimes unbearably undisciplined yet genuinely tragic movie and not think about the first films directed by John Cassavetes and Paul Morrissey.

Written, directed and edited by Ronald Bronstein, and shot on 16-mm film (blown up to 35 mm for maximum grunginess), "Frownland" is literally — through its tongue-tied, tic-driven anti-hero — at a loss for words to explain itself.

Keith (Dore Mann) is a walking disaster as a human being. Always an inch from an apoplectic rage that doesn't arrive until late in the story, communication-challenged Keith is watching his life unravel in many small ways.

Laura (Mary Wall), a sobbing wreck of a friend (or ex-girlfriend, or former colleague, or something — we don't know and don't really need to know), collapses in Keith's New York City apartment. Unresponsive to his bungling, babbling efforts to comfort her, Laura spends a chaste night on Keith's bed getting a rash from his down-filled pillow.

Meanwhile, Keith's tense relationships with an exasperated roommate (Paul Grimstad) and out-of-patience acquaintance (David Sandholm) also have long, unrevealed backstories. But, again, it doesn't matter, as this poor sap's accelerating disintegration, like a house on fire, doesn't require explanations.

Without milking the audience for pity or compassion, Bronstein yields both by honestly portraying a character suffering a small but profound dilemma: Keith has intelligence and adult emotions, but is functionally a child.

"Frownland" is a succession of take-it-or-leave-it moments defining the parameters of Keith's life while stoking his despair. Which really means the film wanders within a broad, situational framework, proving exhausting when Bronstein veers off with a substory about the roommate's job search.

Despite circuitous storytelling, "Frownland" leads us exactly where Bronstein wants us: watching a powerful end-credits scene in which the raw humanity of Keith's ill fit with the world is nothing less than staggering.
